their hoping some rich peopel will pick it up o nthe same day their gettign zelda...no one will play it for a week, but its not a bad strategy.

Ah, but the real question is: Who cares? Who really gives a f**k about The Sims on the consoles? It's going to be exactly the same as the PC version, what's the point?

I played the Sims for the PS2 at a friends house and I couldn't put it down. Even if it is the same as the PC (which it isn't EXACTLY), who cares. It's a VERY fun, adicting game.

It's gonna blow more then just chunks IMO. Plus don't you need internet to play this to its fullest (insn't it an online type game?) which I am almost definate the GCN wont support. They take chances making the original NES online in Japan 12 years ago but now in a time where consoles are at their most popular and profitable stage, internet is in more homes then ever, and teenagers spending more money on clothes and entertainment then any previous recordorded year to date of course it would be dumb and nonprofitable (or at least more so then 12 years ago).

the original had online features but they were only about as online as animal crossing., Online you could load toehr peoples towns....

The Sims is not a big time online game. It just went online around Christamas time. The PC incarnation just has loads and loads of updates and expansion packs.

I'm sure the Sims will sell great, even if you don't think it's a great game...Hey, it's the sims, and it's about to be on consoles. There are like 10 times more console players than PC players, and this game sold 6 million on the PC...
