Anyways, Devry is gonna be at GDC because they want to have a presence in this new field of Game Programming Colleges, and they want us students to man the booth. I'm part of a group that has a side project (sort of a FFT clone... but innovative like) with stuff we can show on a computer screen (severely amateurish 2D stuff), so we got 5 free tickets! Expo passes! All three days! YAY!!!!
We gotta man the booth some hours there though all three days, but whatever. It's totally awesome... GDC MAN! GDC! WHOOOOO!
Anyone else going? Anyone got tips for us not to look like glaring amateurs even though our really pitiful incomplete Direct 3D project will clearly mark us as such?

Take a camera and some sort of voice recording device. We expect an after-action repot.

your lucky i go to an Art Institute and the school doesn't do anything special to get students to go to conventions even though the teachers are all for it.
