But do you agree that it might be too little too late? Do you think that people might be fed up of waiting and drop support altogether?

I wonder what took so long. Everywhere I've went Wii sells out almost as soon as they come in.
Why in April though? Can they not change production before then?

Remember when I said it would be months before you'd notice a difference anyway?
Yeah. Me too.

I beleive they probably did that before the name was announced. I really doubt any GCN where actually produced after mid or even early 2006.

cool news. BTW i was in target this morning and saw my first real life PS3. They didnt have them last week. There may have been 2 left. Alas no revs. The rev section is loaded with games though. I didnt realize it had so many games already.

What's a rev?
I see PS3's in stores all the time now. Sony needs to get a system selling game really fast...actually, they need about 10 system selling games to try to justify the price.

Nah. Sony just needs to learn to market to the people who will buy the iPhone. The comparison makes a PS3 seem like a bargain in a way. Also did anyone else hear that the XBox 360 will become an IPTV setup box soon? People will literally be renting XBox 360's, or buying, from there phone company to just watch TV. Thats like the holy grail for an all in one box.

April is a long way off, I still need a Wii, there's one is my house but sharing sucks.
I'm sure as hell not going to lose interest, but other people may, but then a big game is going to be released that everyone is going to be talking about (gaming and non-gaming sites, magazines, and T.V stations, and regular (sort of) people). All Nintendo has to do to keep up the interest is to keep releasing talk generating games, like when they perfect the FPS(A) controls for Metriod Prime 3, and then tell other companies hey this is how you do it. Or when Super Mario Galaxy (Christmas?) becomes the game of the year. But most of all when Super Smash Brothers Brawl kills someone because they get addicted to it and forget to eat and/or go to the bathroom.

They don't manufacture the whole thing themselves, they just assemble it from components they buy from several different companies. Ramping up their production also means getting all those other companies to ramp up their production on their components.
If it was just a matter of assembling more Wiis they could probably do the ramp up in a week, but for a company like IBM to increase their capacity on Broadway CPUs is going to take a little more time...

Nah, IBM just tore apart all the unsold GameCubes.

From a million per month, to over a million per month. Too little too late? LMAO. The suggestion that Nintendo only JUST "decided" to make more Wiis is also completely ridiculous. This is why nobody should ever source GoNintendo. Even if they didn't up the production it'd still sell more than GC in just two years and be market leader.

Don't you make a thread like this like, every other week?

In away this could be positive for Nintendo, since there is going to be a big drought the next couple of months, if people were readily get a Wii they could end up getting frustrated with the lack of games. When the hot games start coming out will be the best time to have system production ramping up even more since they can prolong the hype.
