Title: Elite Beat Agents song comparisons
Post by: NWR_pap64 on January 13, 2007, 07:03:24 AM
After spending a great deal of my Holiday vacation playing EBA (and other great DS games), I decided to look around for the original songs and create my own EBA soundtrack.
One of the things I said back when the song list was officially announced was that some of the songs were a bit too slow to be very beat happy and there was the chance that some of the songs would be sped up or remixed in order to accommodate the fast paced gameplay.
And after listening to both the original songs and the EBA versions, my theory was proven right.
Some of the songs were indeed too slow to be turned into EBA stages, so they either remixed them or sped them up a bit.
I think these were the ones that received a small change when bringing them to the game. The rest of the songs are identical to the original versions.
An apology if the You tube videos of the EBA songs aren't great, its hard to find good direct feed footage of EBA footage.

I think I actually like the EBA version of Jumpin Jack Flash better. Probably my favorite Stones song, but I like how much energy the EBA version has. ABC was definitely sped up too much. September was fine I thought, and I just don't like Let's Dance so I can't really pass judgement.

I like it as well. I love it specially near the end where everyone is chanting and dancing to it. Brings a lot of energy and life to a great ending.

Rock This Town is a whole different beast on EBA then it was when the Stray Cats did it. I actually like the EBA one better, it's got more of a swing to it.

I just added the song to the first post.
Some songs did receive a slight boost in tempo, but they still retain the beat of the original version. The EBA version of Material girl starts a lot faster, but retains the beat of the original.
