Title: Official Nintendo LAN Adapter: anyone?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you ordered the official LAN adapter from the Nintendo online store.
Because the page still says "The Wii LAN Adapter will begin shipping in early January 2007.".
And guess what? it is early Jan 07!!
I want to get it but I don't wanna wait for weeks for it to be shipped. Plus I'm still wondering when it's getting released in Europe (although I heard it might be 40 euros here, around $50.00, which is a total rip-off!).

So what you're saying is that it's available now?

This will allow me to have a wired connection, right?  My brother found a way to install the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector to the much closer computer so it's much more reliable than before but I think a wired connection would be even more reliable and probably allow me to use the online-dependent features through the Wii without having to turn on either computer.  (I don't leave computers on like people seem to do these days...force of habit of saving money...)

I might as well pick up another Wii game case while I'm at it, for Wii Sports.  The online store is good, it's where I finally got my second Nunchuk, and it came pretty quickly.

No, I'm wondering if it's actually available.

I just checked the nintendo online store and it still says it's not available & shipping in Jan/07.   Who knows when it will be available.  Retail might not get it for another month.  Yay for neighbours with unprotected wireless networks!

hmmmm... I just tried to order it on the nintendo store website and it's letting me get up to the part where I enter my credit card number. It doesn't say anything about being backordered.  On the description screen it still shows "shipping early January 2007".  Somebody who is actually going to buy one online should try it. I'm going to wait for it in the store.

A friend of mine who ordered this has recieved a note saying that his order is being processed and finalized.

Thus, the LAN adapters should be arriving shortly for those interested.
