I remember when I first saw this trailer in the theater, I was ready to leave the movie I was about to watch, just to go see 300 instead. Besides the intense action and strong lead character, the special effect along with the art/color direction is what really sold me on this.
March 9th, 2007 couldn't come soon enough.
edit: fastforwarded the date to 3 months from now and not 8 months ago

I don't know about you guys, but as soon as I heard that one dude yell "This is Sparta!" I have never wanted to watch a movie so bad in my entire life. The only thing that's better than the intense action, strong lead character, special effects, and art direction is it's author, Frank Miller, creator of Sin City.

No, it's a movie based on a graphic novel about the battle of Thermopylae. Inaccurate, but then again it's not trying to be a historical account.
I'm a history buff, but I can throw realism to the wind oncve in a while and am looking forward to this movie.
