Title: SO did I imagine this or what?

I could have sworn that it as announced Wii could hook up to a PC monitor somehow and yet I haven't figured out how to do this. Did I rememebr this wrong or was it changed and nobody told me? Or am I just not figuring it out for whatever reason (vudu bite your tongue)

That option was taken out a looooong time ago...I believe it was announced at this past E3...

This apparently works for GameCube; maybe it will work for Wii too.

That would allow you to capture the video (via composite cable) and display it on your PC, but Nintendo originally "promised" that the Wii could hook up to the monitor itself. Nintendo would actually provide VGA (or DVI) cables, which allow for much better picture than a composite capture card could provide. Unfortunately, this never happened.

Yeah, I don't ever remember hearing Nintendo taking out the VGA feature at all.

I'm sure a VGA cable will be released. VGA is an analog connection, so it can be used in place of the component cables. Just wait a little, it will happen.

If you've got component inputs on your monitor, then it may work.
