Post by: roe on November 26, 2006, 04:42:37 AM
please only respond if you have played this on wii!

1. are you able to play naruto 4 on wii? if so, do you use your gamecube freeloader?

2. Does naruto 4 work with the wii classic controllers? if so, how is the playability

3. Does the gamecube controller work better for naruto 4?

4. off-topic: how is the gamecube controller for "classic" games?

i read freeloader works, classic controllers do not

kind of lame you need 4 gc controllers for gc, 4 classics for classics since the rumor is gc controllers suck, and like 2 nunchucks

rape!

First off, I apologise for the late response but I just joined this forum recently (even though I've been visiting planet gamecube / nintendo world report for years).

Anyway.....

1. I can play this game on the Wii and the select screen seems to load faster. You do need to use the Gamecube Freeloader, although a certain version will not work, I don't remember which version. Just note that when you load it, it will reset, and then load it a 2nd (or in some cases a 3rd time) and it will work just fine.
2. NO, gamecube controllers only.
3. Don't know, never played Ex with a Wiimote, but I assume it would be better.
4. I like it, most would prefer the classic controller.

It's been answered but:

1. Yes and yes. HOWEVER before my Wii's firmware updated my Freeloader worked . . . then a week after playing NGTNT4 with my friend we went to go play again. . . sure enough it no longer worked. I have a very old verion of freeloader though so my guess is a firmware update stopped mine from working. The latest version should work though.

2. No, when any Gamecube game is played on Wii the system becomes a Gamecube. Hence it can't recognize the Wifi controllers and thus you must use the GC controllers. The gameplay is extremely good with the GC controllers.

3.It'd say yes (if you're comparing it to EX).

4. I wouldn't know, I always use the classic controller for VC games.
