Title: need quick response, U.S. GameCube in Spain ?

I saw the question a few posts down about using a U.S. GameCube in the UK. I assume the answer is the same for Spain?
My brother in law is wanting to pick up a US GameCube and US games and take them back to spain. They already have a dual mode TV. Will a simple 220 to 110 converter be all they need?
Thanks..... we're buying tomorrow so I appreciate the advice.
