Title: Help: Where to find Zelda?
Post by: Jin-X on November 22, 2006, 06:08:28 AM
Long story short, I had mine reserved for a long time now with a friend who used to work in EBgames, but he forgot to pick it up and they sold it so now I'm without Zelda, anybody knows where I can find Zelda? Are new copies being shipped with the latest batch of consoles? And what punishment do you guys suggest for him forgetting about the game?
PS: There are no Best Buy or Circuit City stores where I live so forget about those.

Is there a Target? Walmart? A Big Box sort of retailer? They tend to have ample stock of games because GS and EB only ship as many as they pre-ordered, with no or little room for walk-ins.

Yeah we have Walmart, Sears, Sams, Costco, CompUSA (but they suck), Toys R'us (price gougers). That's what I planned on checking. I know a few ppl here work in stores so if they knew anything it will be really helpful.
And oh yeah my best friend who last gen only had an XBX is already badgering me about wanting to play Wii after playing some Gears of War, while he loved the graphics he felt it was more of the same; so Nintendo's plan seems to be going well.

In my area at least, Sears, Target, Walmart all had copies of Zelda. Target had the most per store, like 9 in each.
Now if I could only find a Wii console =P

You can find a copy in my Wii.
Sorry. Someone had to say it; might as well be me.

I found mine in Target.
Still no Wii, though.

All the large retailers near me have tons of games, including Zelda. And a lot of remotes too. But no nunchucks. Or Wiis. Wiis would be nice...

Toys R Us was my pre-order launch store and they didn't price gouge me...

Why does eb and gamestop not get more then just preorders? They would have had another 50 sales easy if they just got some others in. When I was there for 5 minutes two people asked for zelda and were turned away. Do they hate money?

Yes, yes they do.

They're trying to lock people into their slightly higher prices (sometimes 5 bucks above MSRP) by forcing them to pre-order, I think.
I'm doing my darndest right now to avoid giving them my business.

Ah, so much mis-information and hate toward my place of employment. Anyways let me explain a little. Twilight Princess is the only game (Well, at elast my store) was relatively low on. We received our pre-orders and that was it, which everyone at the store found odd as we usually get almost double, if not more, than our pre-order numbers. Pre-orders actualyl help us get MORE shipment in because we can show our corporate office that there is a demand for the product at our store, thus, we get more of them. What happened to Zelda? No clue, but I do know we were quickly restocked with more copies almost immediately.

I wonder why that guy called toys r us price gougers because when I bough my wii and 5 games I got a 30 dollar price break (I payed 39.99 for Super Monkey Ball: BB,Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Trauma Center: SO because of the promo they had). So it was cheaper than lets say getting a Wii at best buy or someother place.
