Yes its true, he was the friend that was a dick towards SSB Melee, the one friend I truly care for. Thanks to our love for SSB we were able to meet.
I only get to see him during summer due to school, though, but we have quite a history.
So take that as it may!
S_B, we can finally drop this polite strange act and act like the true friends we are...

He's basically my roommate. Known him since high school and spends more time in the place I rent with two other guys than at his own home. He even keeps most of his belongings here, including his massive DVD and game collections.

Believe me when I say that I've been thinking about this for weeks, considering that we really don't have anything to hide. But I wanted to see if someone figured it out. And Kairon, this is the whole story:
I met S_B waaaaay back in 2001, when SSB Melee was about to come out. He was a mod at the IGN SSB forums and I was a regular member. He was extremely critical of Melee, which at the time, got on my nerves. He kept criticizing Melee to the point I thought he was a pompous, arrogant dick (and to this day, he still is...except he's now a LOVABLE pompous, arrogant dick
J/K Big guy!).Then in early 2002, IGN decided to turn the forums Insider only, leaving us with no place to post at. A friend of mine suggested me a small website composed mainly of IGN SSB forum regulars. So I went there and to my dismay, S_B was a mod there. Since I was bored out of my mind, I decided to stay.
Cap was the creator of that website. I helped him write reviews, create pages and events and submit news and such. We then became good online friends. Later on, I learned that S_B and Cap were real life friends.
After spending some time there, I got to know S_B and learned that he wasn't that bad of a guy. He was smart, and later on I learned that some of his Melee claims were true and got to accept him for who he is. I then started talking to him via AIM and we were able to understand each other. We then became really good online friends.
In summer 2004, S_B offered me a plane ticket to come meet him and Cap in real life. And once we were able to see each other face to face, our destinies became intertwined forever...whether we liked it or not.
I rapidly became a regular in their circle of friends. Since we share similar interest playing games, watching movies, anime and such became far more fun than doing them on my own.
Since then, I come up every summer and spend some time with them.
I don't live with them though. I am from Puerto Rico (in case you failed to miss it on my signature links), and I am currently finishing my studies here. I did live with them briefly this past summer, where I helped them move in and such.
So that's the whole story. Me and S_B are a regular odd couple, him being the serious, grumpy, stick in the mud, guy and me being the slobby, carefree, fun loving , annoying, overly sensitive guy.
Oh and just in case, I didn't mention me being Cap's real life friend because I didn't know if he was cool with that.

That was when you were on a non stop "Melee SUCKS!" rampage. It seems that your arrogant dick phase happens when you are severely upset. Not to mention we were both young, IGN nerds. We are far more mature now...I think.
I better clear the air...S_B is NOT an arrogant dick...not always, though :p .

Good eye (and memory)! Glad to know someone caught that
.Believe me, I know S_B and he isn't a big of traditional RPGs (as you may have noticed with Contact). Way before he argued about Oblivion on NWR I've argued with him on another forum about what he thinks about RPGs. I enjoy traditional RPGs while he enjoy non traditional ones the most.
Also, he was getting a lot of flak over him not enjoying the game. If he didn't like it, he didn't like it. I believe no one should get flak over not enjoying a game that is popular...
...Wait a minute. I just realized something...
EDIT: And for the record, when I defended S_B when he and VGRevolution were laughed at during one of the Podcast, I did it because it was silly of them to mock something that is commonly done in the videogame world. And from the looks of thing, they were proven wrong.
