Title: You can't change the start-up sound in Vista....
Post by: wandering on November 16, 2006, 09:55:43 PM
Yet more proof that Microsoft is evil. Changing the sound to an awesome movie/tv show/videogame clip is a hallowed tradition. In fact, I think I'm going to change mine to some Trauma Center sweetness right now.

Good thing Vista is already a heaping pile of dogsh!t, this won't look like that big a deal in relation.

It's kind of like being upset that the tape deck in your car doesn't work after you just rolled 8 times on the highway.

My macbook plays a startup sound before it even decides what partition to boot off of! I wonder if I can change that one

yes, S-U-P-E-R, you can.  You simply need to use scotch tape to attach a walkman to your macbook.  Also, I'd recommend covering your existing speakers with as much soundproof tape as possible.
