i saw this a few days ago, but i dont know if it was here or not.

Plenty of Wii in my area + I already have a preorder

Take a look at the PS3 seeker part of that, they have no solid number of units per store

Yeah, I'm really not entirely sure how accurate it is.  It's showing 53 Wii units for every best buy and walmart in Des Moines - but wouldn't there be some adjustments for individual stores?

For my area, it only has Target stores as "confirmed" inventories, while every other store is "unconfirmed."

It doesn't seem very likely that every Wal-Mart and Best Buy is going to get exactly 53 units...

Yeah, 60 units for the Target I'll be hitting. That should be sufficient. I'm more worried about controllers, as many others are. I'd like to get just one extra mote/chuck combo, so with luck it shouldn't be a problem...

I'm still lining up on Sunday morning though

yeah, I'm just getting the extra remote + chuck.  I was actually going to pass on the chuck, but hey - you only live once.

How good is Target at these launch things?

Would I Be better off going to a Best Buy or the TRU if these numbers are acurate?

The only accurate values on that thing are the ones for Target. Every store in my area didn't get 53 units like it said.

I love this thing. The 24-hour Wal-Mart I'm waiting in is getting 53 Wiis, and then my backup plan, Target, is getting 69. How can I LOSE?

EDIT: Osnap. And there's a Toys'R'Us in the same town, and apparently they're all getting 84. Is Toys'R'Us doing a midnight launch thing?

That site says the two Walmarts in my area are getting 53 each, but a friend of mine asked about it at one and was told they were getting 20.  The 53 figure must be an average.  That suggests some big city Walmarts could be getting hudreds.  The site also doesn't note any midnight launches in my area, but I know that Walmart will have it on sale at midnight.  I guess the site might only note midnight launches when the store will have special hours for the launch.

It looks like a handy tool, but I just don't think it's trustworthy.

It says the Target near me is getting 42 units.  AWESOME.

Ha ha, all it says for Calgary is that someone is selling a Toys R' Us preorder - for just $202.

Yes, $202=$50 deposit=$150 profit. You have to pay the REST of the $200 too.

I might go to the Toysrus in Times Square, to see Reggie and all...seems like they're the only ones doing midnight launch...

I somehow doubt I'll get one, even though they're gonna have 84 units...

ITS DARTH LUCAS TO YOU

...it's from the night he was on The Colbert Report, at the end of the Greenscreen 'non-contest'. That's the look on his face after he lost

I called my Best Buy and according to them they are getting around 120 Wii units versus the standard "53" that that is listed here for all Best Buys. So, as Mr. Jack said, I would only take the Target figures as being worth anything.

To the Canadians out there, check out Rogers Video. I just went in and on a whim asked if they would have any Wiis for sale.  The manager took down my name and gave me confirmation that one would be there for me Saturday at midnight! No more waiting at Best Buy for me.

I'm not sure that this is the situation at all Rogers but it sure ended up being a fluke for me.

As glad as I am that I got a Wii pre-order (fine, Wiiorder) at GameStop, it isn't opening until 11:00 Sunday morning. You people on the East coast with midnight launches will receive a Wii 14 hours earlier than me (3 hours timezone + 11 hours store opening)!

I know the Super WalMart that just opened up in Janesville is going to have 71 Wiis but only 6 PS3. (The same number of PS3's are going to Lake Geneva's which makes me think they will get a simular number of Wiis since they are close to the same size stores. (At least Lake Geneva is accually busier since Janesville on just built its Super WalMart replacing the old one a few blocks down, so they have more business just by being bigger longer. The one in Whitewater where I live didn't commit to any numbers but they are opening specially at midnight for the Wii (They close at 9pm/10pm depending on the season, and open about 7am the next day usually), they are doing this for the PS3 also but I serieously doubt they will get how many Janesville (the city the collage students from Whitewater go to do their shopping) or Lake Geneva (a Chichagolite's tourist trap of the highest calibur).

So I'm thinking I will sending my sister to the Lake Geneva WalMart where she works in the McDonald's, my parents to Delaven Wal-Mart/Game Stop (They are on the same lot, and Delavan is a smaller Super Wal-Mart so they will recieve more than Whitewater's but less then the other two, I hope to get information from the Game Stops in Janesville and Delaven if they reiceved more then they pre-order (they were pretty stingy on the pre-orders doing only the same amount as the PS3, and since there will be probally a least twice the amount of Wii then PS3...) I will be going to the Super Wal-Mart in Janesville with my brother and friend, if all fails we have someone to call to send to Target towards Milwaukee, and we three will hit up Target in Janesville, then Best Buy, then K-Mart, then Gamestop. (We have to hit up Gamestop anyways, they didn't allow us to get out software until the 19th and they will not be doing a midnight launch, because of the anti-social Zune and the PS3 (Boo, hiss, I really don't under stand why they are throwing a special bash that will end up costing them more money then they will make with the few PS3 they recieve and the smaller size of the software liberary....)
