Title: What Will You Be Playing/Buying?

Well we're here, the final countdown. We've reached less than a week status and it is now hump day (Well, for most it is). Budgets are set and launch plans are made but there's something I want to know from my fellow launch Wii-ers....what are you going to pick up at launch and what will be the game that is your Wii's first? (Or, what you think will be your wii's first, sometimes what you think will be the first and what it ends up being are different heh.)

Me personally? At launch I will be acquiring the following....

1 Wii from Nintendo console

1 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
1 Trauma Center: Second Opinion
1 Excitetruck
1 Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
1 Madden NFL 2007
1 Metal Slug Anthology
1 Red Steel

3 Wii Nunchuks
3 Wii Remotes (Wiimote )
1 Classic Controller
1 Component AV Cable (If I can successfully order them in a few hours here)

Hopefully I also get called by Nebraska Furniture MArt in time for my new TV to be delivered to me (37" Westinghouse 1080p monitor for those who didn't see the New TV for Wii thread) >< Any Wii Points I get I'll probably order directly from my Wii. I anticipate the first game in my Wii will be Madden NFL 2007 (Inviting some friends over to try this out). Also going to pick up about 20 bottles of Bawls as I'll have my system at Midnight but won't be going to sleep until early Monday morning heh, will need the energy. The last game to go in my Wii from that pickup will be zelda. Why? Most probably have figured it out...when Zelda goes in, it won't come out until its been finished!

Anyways, those are my pickups and plans for launch...what about yours?

Right now I can only afford the Wii, Twilight Princess, an extra controller and nunchuck, and component cables. I'll probably try and score two more sets of controllers/chucks and a couple games (Trauma Center and either Monkey Ball/Rayman/Wario Ware, whichever gets the better reviews) by Christmas. Nothing compelling on the VC yet so no need for Wii Points at this time.

Given that Europe is getting shafted (again, as ever) and our launch allocation has been cut, and I'm pre-order number 20 at my local Gamestation in a smallish town here in the UK, I'm not at all certain I'm getting anything

Anyway, assuming I get my hands on a Wii, I'll probably be getting:
 - second wiimote
 - classic controller (maybe, depending on European VC line-up - I really wanted R-Type and it looks like we won't be getting it, grrrr....)
 - super monkey ball

After that gonna have to wait for some decent games - MP3, Elbits - got no interest in Zelda BTW - the art direction has lost it's way in my opinion - giving in to pressure after WW has left the art generic and cold IMO.

For Launch, Red Steel. After I beat that, Zelda. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is either a rent or buy. Hopefully I get Monkey Ball for Christmas.

I will only have enough money to get the system itself on launch day. Wii sports will hold me off untill Dec10th when I'll be able to purchase Zelda, then buy myself DBZ:Wii and Trauma Center for Christmas. Then it's Elebits, Pangya, and Monkeyball in early Jan.

Yeah, I'll be spreading out my purchases over the next few months.

BUT I just renewed my Gamefly subscription, and Monkey Ball is in the mail.  Also, Trauma Center should follow.

Zelda will come when I have more time - probably after the holidays.

2nd controller/chuck, wii points, Zelda, Red Steel, Excite Truck, Rayman, component cables.

The Wavebird supposedly acts as a classic controller, so I'll let someone get me that controller later for christmas. And I won't get an SD card until I need it.
