Title: Any word on a US release of the DS Lite rumble pack?

This has been out in Japan forever, but we're still waiting on it. Any word on this coming out here?
I want one but I'm not sure I $30 want one.

Uhm... Well it's something you could probably call NoA about. It could be that they have one and havn't advertised it or just havn't done a give away promo on it yet.

What is the difference between the rumble pack that came with "Metroid Pinball" and the DS Lite rumble pack?

The DS Lite rumble pack doesn't jut out of the DS Lite. It's the same size and shape as the spacer that comes with the DSL. Linky

They probably pack it in with another no hype DS title next year, like that DS Air/Jet Impulse or something.

I doubt that it will be a pack-in seeing as it would not work with original DS systems. With the original rumble pack, it is just unsightly in the DS Lite, but it is still useable.

I've seen them at my local EB for the past week. I saw this thread but wasn't sure if I saw what I thought I saw. Checked back last night, and yup there it was.
Unless it said SP rumble back, but im pretty sure it was for the DS. I will check again today.

There are no GBA SP rumble packs (though a few games do have built-in rumble). What hudsonhawk is looking for are rumble packs specificall for the DS lite, not just the normal DS.

Well, I gave up and ordered one from an importer. $30 is way too much to pay for a peripheral that's only supported by a half dozen games, but I'm tired of the GBA slot on my DSL being a vestige (and the full-sized rumble pack makes the DSL impossible to hold if you use the thumbstrap).

Well, I got this on Monday (it arrived incredibly quickly).
Surprisingly, they somehow found a way to make it louder than the full-sized rumble pack. The rumble seems a little less "rumbly" and a little more "clicky" than before as well.
All in all - it's ok, and it's nice to have something other than a spacer in my GBA slot. It does add somewhat to the Starfox experience, and I'm hoping it'll do the same for EBA. Hopefully more games will come that use it - I've always felt that the DS should have had rumble (and tilt for that matter) built into it from the get go.
