Title: 299,792,458 meters per second too slow?
Post by: Shecky on November 05, 2006, 06:29:37 PM
I'm concerned about not having enough time to get where I need to be and do what I have to do.  I figure if I could just get there quicker, I'd make plenty of time to handle other things, like Zelda which is going to take forever in itself.  So, I figure in order to gain enough time, traveling roughly 299,792,458 meters per second between tasks may do the trick.  Thoughts?

I assure you that this is not ludicrous. ;)

Sorry VGrevolution.  It's just when I read your thread title a certain quote from a certain movie came to mind ;)

Speaking of teleportation, That movie The Prestige had a messed up take on it.

Sure, the Wii only costs $249.99, but how much will a house to play it in cost? $250,000?  $300,000?
What about getting to that job of yours?  $4000 minimum.
Cars will take too long to get home, so how much will that teleportation chamber cost you?  $1,000,000 to build and $40,000,000 in research?

So sure it's "cheap," but the real cost is more like $41,550,249.99!
