Title: PS3 Launch Line up question

I was wondering what people thought would a good amount of time to get to a Best Buy to wait for a PS3. If they open at 10am on Friday, then what kind of time would need to be put in? How long did people wait for the Xbox360? Thanks for any input.

a week ago. Seriouly the odds of you getting a PS3 at Bestbuy is about as slim as getting stuck by lightning in the middle of winter your better off just waiting a year to get one.
You'll be lucky if Bestbuy gets at most 4 units.
and Really what reason do you have to actaully sitting outside for over 24 hours to get a system that has next to nothing is decent exclusive launch titles. Your better off just buying the same games on the Xbox360 or better yet going out and buying a Wii 2 days later.

Yeah, with the launch numbers as limited as they are, buyers should think back to the X360 launch and ask themselves how early they needed to line-up to get that console, then bump the start time back another 6 hours just to be safe.

For me I'm going to start standing in line at 12pm or so at my Best Buy, I know with the 360 they got about 80 units or something (maybe more I'm not sure). Why am going to stand in line for 22 hrs or so? Well because I like money, and that is what PS3 is going to get for me on ebay .

Amen to that VG, I have a similar plan of action for the PS3 launch. I wonder how many people who are buying a PS3 in store at launch are actually keeping the system, and how many are scalping them on the internet.

Well if preorders are any indication prices could be REALLY high on ebay, already they are selling for 900-1100 dollars for the preorder. Once the drought hits and PS3 is more known amongst consumers, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 400-800 dollar leap from that (heck even at 900$ it would be worth it). With that money from my PS3 sales I hope to get a shiney new 33-40inch HD-TV for my bedroom (a bigger one would be a bit too hard on the eyes lol) along with christmas presents.

I'm planning to check it out briefly the night before, then if there's no lineup I'll get up bright and early and wait in the parking lot on launchness day!
I'll probably try to get there about 5:30 and then I'll sit in my car and play DS for as long as possible.
