Trauma Center doesn't seem like it would have the same charm with a free floating remote as it does with actual physical contact between a stylus and the screen. I like the two-button clamp idea though, and that there are multiple difficulty levels now, but I can't really get all that excited about the game.

The guys who are making it seem genuinely excited about it and all the possibilites of the controller - it looks like it will turn out great.

I think this is one of those games which shows that as far as graphics are concerned its definately 'style over power'. The game looks crisp, with great use of colour. Really looking forward to this game.

Indeed.
This might have just earned the cash I was GOING to spend on Excite Truck...

This game was SOOOOO hard at the press event. (At least on the hardests available chapter) I couldn't even do the first incision.

I thought Atlus made a big deal about how the game now offers various difficulty settings, including an easy setting...
Maybe the demo was automatically set on normal or hard?

It's possible I just suck.

Just kidding. You're just "shy" in the presence of others.

Too many good launch games... this sucks... =(
Is there an age where it becomes inappropriate to ask for a game or two for X-Mas?

Never!
As you can probably tell by my sig, TC is my most anticipated launch title after Zelda. Not sure if I'll get it at launch, though. Doing so will be a good idea because it'll likely disappear soon, but, well....I'm imagining the following conversation with my roommate....
me: Hey, you know how you said you wanted to split the costs of the Wii with me? Well, I was thinking I could buy the console itself, and then you could maybe buy a game and extra controller. roommate: Okay, but which game? me: Well, I'm definetly thinking Zelda..... roommate: Okay. me: And actually, I've been thinking about picking up Trauma Center... roommate: Oh. Well, if you can afford a game, why don't you get a multiplayer one? Like Red Steel? me: erm....yes, but, um....Trauma Center....and....... Actually, I don't think I can afford a game after all. roommate: Objection! You just said you were thinking about buying one. me: Yes...but, erm....um.... roommate: Hold it! I've got it. I'll get Red Steel, and then you can get Zelda. You're the one who wanted it, anyway. me: W-w-well. Um, erm....no, I mean...gaah.

I don't think so, I'm expecting my girlfriend to get me something for my Wii and I'm 35 but maybe I'm disproportionately immature

If it wasn't for Videogames no one would get me anything for Christmas. They consider everything else more adult to expensive. Go figure. That and nobody knows me well enough to know what I would want. Actually I hate getting money at these sort of things. That really erked me at my Wedding. Everyone gave us cash... Great... now I rather have something that they had to put some thought into. All that money I didn't even get to use for anything. It went to my Wifes moving expenses. blah...
