Title: The Wii Box
Post by: ThanksMK on October 13, 2006, 01:04:08 PM
Hey Guys,  Just wondering and it is a stupid topic but how come the Wii box is bigger than the Gamecube box?  Isnt the Wii suppose to be the smallest home console that Nintendo has ever made?  Wii Remote and Nunchuck are not that big...

Because it makes people feel like they are getting more.

Industrial Egg Crate Packing.  So they can be airdropped to waiting stores.  We don't need no stinking trucks.

(Actually I'm series about the Egg Crate backing.)

The box might look bigger than GCs, but we have yet to know its dimensions. Even if it is bigger, afterall it does come with more stuff than the GCs box.

The GC box didn't completely contain the GC, did it?  The handle stuck out, from what I remember.

Edit:  Nope.  I just looked at my box.  I don't know why I remembered that so wrong.

The Wii won't be smaller than the SNES mini, will it?

Stack three DVD cases next to one and see.

It did in Japan. I think NOA saw the handle as more of an embarrassment than a selling point.

Edit: I guess you could say that particular aspect of the system was too much for them to handle. Ohohoho.
