Wiimote used for knifing attacks, moving Wii mote forward to zoom among other innovations.
Online possibility being in retail version - “We’re testing online right now”.
Not a direct port from the Xbox versions, primary focus being graphics and gameplay.
Wiiconnect24/Downloads being a possibility also.
More information on the title is said to be revealed on the 14th.
With Far Cry being confirmed as a launch title makes me wonder about all the reports of Wii not being online for 3rd parties. If Ubisoft is already testing online, then maybe other 3rd parties have acces to it but can't talk about it yet.

This game looks pretty good, but I'm afraid of getting over-FPS'd. Red Steel looks more interesting to me, although I admit that Far Cry has a proven track record where Red Steel is an unknown quantity.

Didn't Nintendo or Ubisoft make a statement saying that even if online was implemented at launch it could be added with the Wii24Connect service?
Maybe I'm imagining that, but it's not something impossible to do either.
All it means is that we have 3 (maybe 2) months to get acquainted with the games and their as of yet alien control schemes before going online with them and getting owned by me! (fps's and madden are the only games i am good at, i suck at everything else, and i still suck at those so...)

On the subject, I've been playing through Far Cry on the PC recently. It's a very pretty game, one of the prettiest on the PC IMO, even if it is over 2 years old.
