Title: Yet another Wii launch date topic...
Post by: UncleBob on August 29, 2006, 02:56:48 PM
http://ant.1up.com/

Have you heard about the Wii Ambassador program?  Basically, what it is, Nintendo is having small (30ish people) parties in various towns.  The guy in the above link was picked to host one.  Included in the above link is a "letter" from Reggie (in the shape of a Wii Controller) that says this event will occur "several weeks before Wii launches."

Now, I was invited to one of these on September 15th in LA, but, sadly couldn't go because I couldn't afford the plane tickets.  But the individual who invited me has said he knows someone who's having a Wii Party on October 24th.  Add two weeks and you're at November 7th.

Wii in November?

How bout we make this a Wii Ambassador Program thread instead?

Just do a google search for "Wii Ambassador" and you'll find a couple of them. Now only if they'll hold one in San Francisco....

Or Sacramento, or Oakland, or San Jose, or any of the outlying cities.  I'd be willing to make an effort to get to any of these.  I wonder how they choose their ambassadors.

It's my understanding that all the ambassadors have been chosen (apparently they had a signup on Nintendo.com some time ago) and those ambassadors already had to submit their guest lists.  Meaning, at this point, if you've not been invited, you're not going to be.
