What makes it scary is that I actually think I might have an idea of what he's talking about... But I'm afraid to e-mail him back because if it's what I think it is, I don't want to have to try to explain it... I'm guessing that it might be a very taxing event. The odd thing is, it's been a long, long time (at least a year, probably) since I've posted about this anywhere.

No, I think it probably has something to do with official Nintendo Game Boy Advance Link Cables. They have a purple (or pirple, if you will) end and a gray end. If you plug the purple end of one cable into the box in the middle of the other cable and the purple end of the other cable into the middle of the first cable, you can use the GBA cables for multi-player GB/GBC games...
I'm guessing that might have something to do with this e-mail...
