I don't see people joking about Project H.A.M.M.E.R. for several months before release.
I don't see Samuel L. Jackson saying "I want these ************* robots out of this ************* city."
I don't see Keenan.
I don't see boobs.
"Snakes On A Plane" shortens to S.O.A.P, but H.A.M.M.E.R. doesn't yet seem to stand for anything.

Project H.A.M.M.E.R. doesn't seem so jokey in the videogame industry where some really goofy stuff is considered common-place. The idea of a dude with a big hammer smashing robots is not that different than a robot laying bombs to kill weird thingys or a guy jumping on a turtle's head. A lot of games feature really weirdo stuff that would look totally out of place in a movie but is perfectly normal for a videogame.
Now if the game was called "Guy with a Hammer" then I think the comparison would make more sense.

HAMMER may be cool, but I'm waiting to hear if there's more to it than just running and smashing stuff. Or if the smashing stuff is really well done. I want combos, strategy, and white knuckle scorin'.

Project HAMMER is the game I'm most upset that i missed at E3. Everyone hated it. I really wish I could have an opinion too, as my opinion is often different. =P
