Title: Who's going to E3?

Who's already got plans to go to E3 this year?  Is it possible to meet up with the PGC staffers while there?  Where's a good (cheap) place to stay around the Convention Center?  Any other Australians planning on attending?  Look forward to seeing you all there!

*sigh*.  I wish I could go, but I am eternally broke.  I do plan to go one day, but it won't be this year.  (or the next either no doubt).

*laugh*  Hey Rick...is PGC organizing a night during E3 that fans of the site could meet the staff, talk trash, maybe even play some games?  It would be great to have the chance, especially since it's one of the rare times that (most of) the staff are all together in the same place at the same time.

I've gone to E3 the past 2 years, and will be going again this year.

Someone asked abotu prices, so long as your over 18 they will pretty much le3t you in if you pay for the low price ticket, which is $300.  Just have to create some fake company name.

As for meeting the PGC people, just hang arround the Nintendo booth.  They are like flies.  They swarm arround everywhere, you'll run into them at some point.

Lord knows I try to avoid that Rick Powers kid whenever I go to E3.  I keep running into him though, especially at the Nintendo booth and during interviews with Denis Dyack  ;-D

Ill probably go to E3 this year...if i can sneak in that is heh heh heh....I missed it last year by a few days.  I live close to the L.A. Convention Center.

This will be my fifth year in attendance.  The show just keeps getting better, and it's held in the perfect place, I love the convention center!

LOL, I'll go to E3 when i have the money.  I can't go to E3 beacause I already spent a lot on the great games I bought.  Maybe sometime next year....

WHat? i thought E3 was a trade-only show? you mean you can actually buy tickets to it? or do you have to make up a phony site and ask for admission?

HAHAHAHA....can u really make up company names??? i was going to make up a video game club at my university and say i was the president to get in, but i dont have a ride out to la, and i wasnt sure if i wanted to just spend 300 dollars on just the possibility of me going. can anyone really just buy a ticket with a made up company name?

Nope. Dangit, I live in an Atlanta suburb....host E3 at Atlanta again!

But we (you'll see who after the site opens) are creating a gaming site that covers all platforms, like a non-corporate version of Gamespot or IGN. It will have no ads, lots of bandwidth and we will host sites. However...Sites take time to grow, and I don't think we'll be full fledged and ready for mass E3 coverage until E3 2005 or possibly 2006, depending on the percentage of staff old enough to get in.

Please bring E3 to Atlanta again, mighty IDSA.

Bah, all you people who complain it was too hot, don't understand what it is like for it to be 100% humidity with the weather in the upper 90s. What you got in Atlanta was nothing compared to what it can be.

Why not actually save yourself the lies and make a small site. It's not too hard, and you'll proof and name...just put it on homestead or something.

Gamefreak: I'm also lost in the Atlanta suburbs, and I wish they'd bring E3 back to Atlanta too.  I moved to Atlanta the year after they had it here...sigh.  So ironically, the first E3 I went to was all the way out in L.A. in '99.

I went today (and last year), and it was great. Watch out for the 20 dollar cheeseburgers at the concession, by the way. XD
