As I said before, Animal Crossing would work better as a TV show. Episodic silliness involving the characters found in every town, plus a boy and a girl. Special visitors and particular animal villagers could be the focus of a particular episode, but then they leave or move away at the end of it.

Yeah a TV series I could see but, a movie I couldn't see being anything but boring.

A kid runs away from home because his parents don't understand him and his need to wear hats with horns. He hops aboard a train and finds himself in magical and scenic talking animal land - where there is magic! Drama! Self-discovery! Comedy! Licensed country music! Mr. Resseti!
