Title: DS: tv and internet
Post by: please let me in, please on June 06, 2006, 12:40:43 PM
I read something by nintendo saying that they are considering letting you watch tv on the ds, and being able to go on the internet. It wasnt much, but they said it would most likely ship to japan first. I havent heard anything since those few months, has anyone else?

You haven't heard anything?  They showed the DS Opera browser at E3 and it's going to also be part of the Wii hardware.

Check the hardware section of PGC and take a look at it.  The browser hasn't been announced for the US yet.  Check the front page today for a peripheral to watch videos on the DS though.

From the news today

Opera will be delayed a month... coming out in July now.

The Oneseg TV tuner will go on sale in Autumn and will cost "approximately half the price of the DS hardware" = ~8400 yen.
