Title: The Special Ending for Eternal Darkness Could Have Been So Much Better (spoiler)
Post by: RockmanX on March 01, 2003, 05:13:47 PM
So I play through the game 3 times, which wasn't bad at all. Seeing the different guardians, and stuff was cool, so I did it. But for the ending I was expecting Mantorok maybe to be revived and come and destroy everything. Heh. Though the ending did set up a sequel, maybe.
-edit Don't get me wrong though, Eternal Darkness is what I think is one of the greatest games I've ever played.

Sorry to be reviving such an old thread, but this seems to be the most appropriate thread. Now...
WHAT WAS THE SPECIAL ENDING?!?!?!?!?!? I can't find it anywhere online, and I can't buy the game for a while longer. Please, someone tell me what happens. I just want to know what actually happens. Thanks in advance for anyone who helps...Later

You play through the game thrice, selecting a different God each time. Not the best way to increase replay value but still a pretty cool and dark ending. wants Mantorok summons

Alex's last sentences are different, and more conclusive. Gramps talks for another minute about the ancients, adding a higher degree of conclusion. Mantorok... is still happy Mantorok.

Geez, I haven't played that game in ages.
Isn't Mantorok already on his way out when the game ends? His opponents are gone but he was still wounded from when Pious drove the columns into his flesh.
