Title: Can the GameCube price get any lower?
Post by: wandering on April 30, 2006, 08:36:09 PM
Apparently so.

According to an EB employee, stickers and posters for the GameCube reading "New Low Price" are being sent to retailers by Nintendo.

It seems GameCube will soon be cheaper than the cost of materials for entering the average PGC contest...

You know, a year and a half ago, I saw a new GameCube for $89.99 Canadian.. I have no idea why it was so cheap, but I wasn't about to complain - bought it right away. Nowdays it's $130 here, but bundled (last one I saw was Strikers plus two controllers and memory card).

I always thought it was amazing the way Nintendo could get so much power and yet keep their systems so cheap..

I've seen the GC for as low as $70 (about $55 US) here. Nintendo America should just kill off the GameCube Sega Saturn style. $50 with a hundred free games and a new car or something.
