Post by: eljefe on April 27, 2006, 06:27:14 PM
I wasn't around this board when the PSP was released..
Did as many people make urine jokes then?
Just curious.

No because the PSP was designed for teh urban nomad as therefor is far more XTREME than the Wii.

PSP = marking it's territory over the handheld ghetto.

"PlayStation" = "station of play", belongs in a day care, yet somehow sells a lot. (I've already said this a dozen times today, but few people respond.)
"Xbox" = "X" as in extreme, total self-parody of uber-extreme-coolness, "box" could be slang for female parts, yet somehow sells more than the GameCube.
Therefore, childish or silly or punnish names do not equal OMG PHAILURE. The continued complaining of the name Wii actually makes it worse than it really is. I can't speak for the British where it's supposedly more common, but in North America, you must be like six years old if "I'm going to play with my Wii" is an embarassing or gigglish statement.
Either stop being hypocritical or grow up.

im with Jon on his statement. i've always said since its debut that playstation (one word or two, who cares) sounds more like an designated area of a day care. "its raining out, i guess the kids cant go outside...lets just take them to the Play station.." why no one ever thought that was tiku tiku tiku! is beyond me. yet just cuz nintendo64 was simple and had a few different colors in its logo, it got the bad rap.
