Title: Puzzle Fighter
Post by: Shecky on April 18, 2006, 03:03:29 PM
So Puzzle Fighter just made it out in a collection type game for the PSP. Any word on if a version for the DS is in the works? I know it's out for the GBA, but wireless Puzzle Fighter over the net would be a great addition.

Capcom seems to be showing A LOT of love for the PSP. Money hats?
Note that many of those games are ports and remakes. Though some of them sound cool (like the Mega Man and Mega Man X remakes).
You know, maybe if they had more copies of Phoenix Wright available to begin with they would sell a lot of stuff on the DS too. Either that or they now only want to make DS games that make good use of the DS's specific features. I guess there was Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble but that's a lot of "meh" in my book, and I don't even like to use the word "meh".

Yeah I noticed that too.
But we DO get the better handheld games. Phoenix Wright is one of the best handheld games of 2005 and resident Evil DS is worth it for just the Knife fighting...
Man that mini game is so, so FUN!

PSP gets the Capcom love because... A. They believe that the fanbase would play their games and more importantly... B. They're braindead ports. They don't have to do anything to the graphics. If the DS was 384 x 224 it would be the same situation, but since the resolution is lower they'd have to redo the graphics to fit on the screen. Not that something like that is impossible, but Capcom doesn't have any real sprite artists anymore.
