Apparently Lucent (formerly Bell Labs) is claiming patent violations in the 360 and asking that it be pulled from the shelves.

It'll probably wind up like the Sony Dual Shock lawsuit and just linger the whole generation.
You never know though. Sega got absolutely reamed in Atari's patent lawsuit

No mention of "Lucent wants all XC's pulled from shelves" on a seriousnews site. Perhaps Gamernode is just throwing that in there to add sensationalism. Forcing MS to pull the product is not profitable, forcing them to pay huge danages plus a license fee on each console sold is.

Every patent lawsuit I've ever seen involved a "stop violating our patent" provision, from the DualShock lawsuit to the eBay "buy it now" lawsuit to the endless Blackberry lawsuits. I don't think you can sue someone into signing a licensing agreement, rather the lawsuit would be for past damages and an order to not do it again in tthe future. That's why these lawsuits generally get settled out of court in the end.
