Title: Favorite game sites?
Post by: Artimus on April 02, 2006, 08:40:21 PM
Besids our lovely host, what are your favorite game sites?

I have two other sites that I visit on a daily (or more than daily) basis: Joystiq (and Rev/DSfanboy) and IGN (DS/Rev/sometimes Cube/GBA). I find that Joystiq gives me the most interesting news and allows me to stay uptodate with all platforms. IGN usually has the best news/biggest stories. They also have the best media browsing/backlog.

For weekly visits I have GameRankings where I keep upto date on whats hot. I also visit Nintendojo though it's a totally useless site (old habits). I sometimes visit AdvanceMediaNetwork too, but usually jsut the DS section.

What're yours?

I live here at PGC but I do frequently visit Sega.com main page and forums and I also like gamespot and IGnf or their revolution sections. I used to be a daily visitor of gamefaqs, until I was banned, so now I dont go there anymore but they weret much for news mostly just forums and other stuff.

Other than that my otehr favorite website I visit quit a bit and desreves an honerable mention is unicron.com its not really video game related but it does interest video game fans I think. (oh and the rats collectibles its a great site to trade and find odd tidbits of rare news but they dont update daily link is in my sig)

Slashdot Games. Wait a bit until the April's Fools "news" disappear, they were exceptionally stupid this year.

Bisqwit's NESvideos site is gaming related, right?

Polycount is probably not of much value to most of you.

Other than that maybe the occassional game-specific website like Beyond Unreal.

Everyday I check: PGC, IGN (REV, DS, NGC, sometimes the PC, PS3, X360 just to check what's happening on other platforms.), RPGamer.com, revo-europe.com, jeux-france.com, the-magicbox.com, anandtech.com, engadget.com, gametrailers.com, fileshack.com.

NTSC-uk for multi-platform gaming. They usually keep up with all the relevant news, so I don't have to check all the blogs and news sites. Though the bickering has been ramping up with the new consoles coming out.

Hey guys! Remember when Nintendojo had forums?

Good thing they got rid of them though. I know I hate having a community of loyal posters cramping my style by supporting MY site.

Generally I rely on pietriots for all of my Nintendo information.  The links I receive from them range far and wide.
IGN is what I generally use for media, and PGC for my basic news stories and reviews.  They also have interesting editorials, when they have them.

PGC and revolutionreport.com.  Damn, that's a fine site.

A bit off topic, but it's a shame there really hasn't been any revolution-dedicated websites that have been as good as opn2000 and planetn2000 were back in the day. In terms of in-depth speculation/analysis/editorials/etc, I mean.
