Title: No Contra, no Castlevania, Red Rock RTX rumor...

The admin over at Konami message boards has said "no" to rumors of a Contra port for the GC and a Castlevania game, specifially -
" (...)as all of you may know now, it should be obvious to you all that Castlevania isn't what I was talking about regarding the GC at E3. And I will go on record here to flat out tell you that unless something changes that we dont know about, Contra for GC doesn't exist."
It's not all bad news, but those two games aren't hitting the Cube anytime soon.
Also, there are rumors going around that RTX Red Rock, the GC version, may have been withdrawn....I don't know anything about this, read it on the Cube Europe boards, perhaps someone can clarify.

First, I would not believe everything the administer at the Konami message boards has to say. He probably did not even know a Castlevania game was in development. On the other hand, I would not be surprised if Castlevania did not make its way to the 'Cube. As for Contra, who knows? Some sites say yes, some say no. Time will tell. Finally, RTX Red Rock is from LucasArts, so why this title is mentioned is this thread makes no sense to me. I'm fairly certain that this game is definitely coming, since LucasArts has had some great success on the 'Cube. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. (No sarcasm intended in last sentence.)

usually the american companies have no idea what the japanese companies are doing and a guy hired just to be a board admin especially wouldnt know.

First off, if you're surprised that's your problem. Rumors are rumors, as popular as they might be.
Wait until Konami announces something substantial for cube and then talk about it. Hopefully around E3.

The whole thing about the Administrator is that he said Nintendo fans would be happy with Konami at E3 compared to their Rage right now. He said we were getting something new. If it isnt Contra or Castlevania then i have no idea what it will be. I DOUBT it means Metal Gear Solid 3 for the Cube, so its probably a new franchise.
It would be a shame if RR RTX would be cancelled on the GCN, it was one of the games ive been looking forward to in this year.

Of course they're going to say 'no' I'm betting E3 will be where Konami 'surprise' us all and officially announce a Contra: SS port, then get off by showing us more footage of Disney sport games.
