Title: age of empires DS
Post by: silentbob on February 23, 2006, 03:15:51 PM
I've been a lurker for some time now and I want to be a full time member now so yea.

I just bought this game a few days ago and I must say, its great man.

gameplay - 9 its so damn good you might just end up putting advance wars away for a while
graphics - 7 eh, not so great but not bad or anything, the animations get annoying after a while
sound - 5 i haven't heard much of it since i play listening to my mp3 player instead but from what i have heard it was okay, seems like it would get annoying after a while though
replayability - 10 man, this game is great  in multiplayer mode and you can buy maps and units as wel, I'm about halfway through campaign mode and it's pretty godd*mn challenging.

the booklet was great too hehe

Does it support single cartridge download play or is it only hotseat play?

Is it easier than advance wars DS (man this game can get frustrating) and how would you rate it compared to Advance wars?

Must admit very tempted to buy it, advance wars has lived in the DS for the last month (apart from a brief period of Monopoly before I  returned it).

Im sure all my Animal crossing and Nintendogs characters must be dead by now.

sadly, it's multi cartridge only and it does have hotseat play.  im not sure how it stands out to advance wars DS (i was talking about the gba one) but I'm pretty sure they're both damn good when it comes to gameplay. it might be easier than advance wars for a little bit during the tutorial but then it gets really tough

and I'm pretty sure this game is going to kill my animal crossing town heh :-P

Is that viral marketing?

I was about to say the same thing KDR.

Ever since that PA strip I am inclined to believe that most posts like this are in fact related to flowering organisms.

Well, I've never heard anybody praise a... booklet... before.

It is a nice, colorful booklet now that I look at it though.

Smells like a shill to me.

AoES is already being advertised through guerrilla marketing. I know that for a fact.

In this case, I'd simply look to PGC's review of the game.

The question is, which do you like better... the game... or your check from Majesco?

Seriously though... I doubt Majesco can afford viral marketing at this point.

You know Microsoft had a hand in this game, right.

I don't think Microsoft cares that much about this game.

You wouldn't be treated like a noob by just fading into the forum, since there's no indication of "noobness" in this forum at all you can just begin posting and many people will never know that you're new.
