I've been playing the demo of this which came with the DS and I still adore the control.

Seriously, this game is going to be the first console FPS I've ever played which I likely won't give up on the multiplayer because the controls just suck so badly.

I had doubts about this game until I saw the video with the Adventure Mode part in it. And from then on it just seems to keep getting better and better. So when this game comes out, Nintendo will have their hands even deeper into my pockets. Bastards.

seriously, I'm glad that I had some time to work on Mario Kart and Animal Crossing while waiting for the BICHIN online mode

Agreed, without online play, it'd be a great game.

WITH online play, this is a killer app, hands down.

Yeah, another vote in the online bin.  For me the game would have been lost next to Mario Kart and Mario & Luigi without online, so the delay doesn't hurt one bit, and the online feature makes it that much more interesting for me.

I hope they allow random opponents like MK does.

Only playing against friends would get tiring, especially when it basically rules out online tournaments hosted by Nintendo.

I dunno, I thought multiplayer was the only good part of Metroid Prime 2. Collecting zillions of coins and stuff.

My only hope is that this game doesn't turn out to be anything like Mario Kart on the online front.  I'm not asking for perfect balance because that's nearly impossible, all I'm looking for is enough of it to keep the game interesting, to keep it  from turning into say Samus or Noxus x 4 or S vs. S vs. N vs. N.

Yeah, that was one of my complaints with online MK. It seemed like people chose only medium karts: light and heavy were unheard of. Also, having to incessantly mini-turbo in order to compete got old fast. If the DS made for a better "controller" then it wouldn't have been so bad but the hand cramping from all that turboing was ridiculous.

I don't think I'll be getting this either.  Other games (like Super Princess Peach) are higher on my list of priorities.

We probably could have had LoZ:TP by now to if Nintendo didn't want to make it the best damn game ever.

I have no plans to buy this game, but I'm glad it's online.  Quite simply, it'll sell better because of it.

Anywhoo, Tetris DS on March 20th for me.

What Mario Kart online are you playing, everyone I see chooses Egg 1, Dry Bomber, or Poltergust 4000.  There isn't anything medium about those.  Medium carts don't have the acceleration.

I think the online mutilplayer makes this game better i have a good number of multiplayer games for my GC but all of my friends are ps2 casual gamers, leaving me with only one brother to play against... considering the fact that he whips my butt raw in everything except madden it gets tiring, so MP:H online gives me a chance to get whipped by other people, cuz I am pretty bad at most games, which makes them fun. i hate things that are easy. what was i saying?? oh yeah online makes it worth the wait, it's better than if we were waiting cuz they were adding connectivity to the gba.

I'm still worried as to whether or not this will be a true Metroid game, but I am looking forward to the online action. Hopefully, there will be no equivalent of "snaking" in MP:H. I'll buy this even if it sucks as I cannot resist anything with the word "metroid" on the cover.

Strafe running? You mean strafing and moving sideways at an angle to gain extra speed?

I wouldn't worry about that. The only concern I'd have is that there will be one hunter who is clearly head and shoulders above the rest, ensuring that everyone plays as that lone hunter.
