Title: DS redesign?

Anyone think this is true link I think it would be cool but i dont want to have to buy a new one just to keep up with the times =P

well right nopw its all speculation but I think theres definatley going to be some changes soon, but what changes and when i think is still up int the air.

There were all sorts of rumors flying around a few days ago that there would be an announcment on monday the 16th. The rumors were started by Lik-Sang who said they heard from one of their Nintendo reps. Since then, as reported on this site, Nintendo has come out saying that there is currently no play blah blah...

hmm, well i hope they announce it soons cause my friend might buy one but is waiting for nintendo to say weather or not a new one is to be realeased, and I want him to play animal crossings!!! lol anyway post if you find anymore details.

I don't think there should be a new nintendo ds. It would be a bad move for nintendo since ds has only been out 1 year, and it is still selling really well in japan. Wait until sales go down a little to announce a new ds because people will buy it again. it's simple.
Also, i don't know what else nintendo could put into hte ds because its really awesome. maybe it could be more confortable but I dont see how, it already has the bakclight and flip design of the sp. maybe a longer stylus? i don't think thats enough for a redesign though...

I'm glad this turned out to be a falsehood. I would've snapped up a new DS without hesitation even though my current one works just fine.

I like the idea of a redesign of the DS, but I think ninty should hold out on it for a bit longer. The DS is selling like crazy (especially in Japan) so there's no need to have a new DS yet. I agree with pboy38, they should wait untill the sales get pretty low before a releasing it.

Nintendo always look to rededesign their consoles it just some never make it past R&D stage, but with the Gameboy line up they usually make it out into the market. So I am sure they will come out with a redesign just not now the soonest they came out with one before is the SP usually they wait years to redeign something especially if it is selling like hotcakes as is.
