Title: Quick question regarding USB connector

I just spent quite a while looking for this but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Can a normal computer hook-up to the nintendo wi-fi USB connector (does it create a normal hot-spot)?

Also, after reading the interview with buffalo, I'm confused. Is it possible to use it with something other than XP (such as W2K Pro)?

Only Nintendo devices hook up to it and Windows XP is required.
