Title: inserthere a.k.a. Ryan in Yorktown (others read too)

I've got a lost kitten in my town that says she needs to go to your town.
Now, according to the guide, this only works when you've linked DS-to-DS, not when you've linked over Nintendo WiFi Connection.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Another question here, I was under the impression that you could only recieve messages in bottles from other people if you were both in Tag mode and passed each other. I had gotten some from fake people within the game, but the other day I got one from someone who said "Dear stranger, please add me: [friend code]." First I lolled, because this person obviously doesn't understand anything and is probably standing there with his gate open all day crying because no one visits him, but then it got me thinking =o
Maybe I just heard wrong and these things work online too, but could it be that I had indirectly connected with someone who HAD been in tag mode?

well, I think our forums have completely proven that these things do go out across the wide internet. perhaps you're more likely to get them from people you know though

Thank god this hell is finally over. I was getting really tired of this whining kitten all over my town.
