Title: Lag! Argh!
Post by: JHarris on December 06, 2005, 01:44:11 PM
Wow, I think it dumped everyone. It said it was lagging? That bites. Internet gets iffy here when it's been raining, I think that was it.
Sorry everyone.

Okay, I think it may have been Random Internet Pixies, combined with me being a floor from the wireless router. I hadn't thought much of that before since I still have "very good" signal up here with my laptop, but from now on I'm going to stay close to the base when the gates are open.
Sorry I missed ya at Orochi's Hal, I eventually stopped searching for him and opened the gates again. Eventually I managed to find him later. I bought the net you wanted for you, if you can't get one by tomorrow.
Thanks again for the fruit, too....

Is this... was the name Christopher? No, he was the one giving out shovels.
I still feel bad about it all. Let me know if there's a way of making it up to you.

Bloodworth came up with a good policy I think. If there are 3 or more people in the town, someone has to leave every five minutes or so. All the connected games save every time someone leaves, so that way you don't lose your swag from a lag

The host can save anytime he presses 'start' If someone else (visiter) presses 'start' they automaticaly say "I want to save"

Doesn't that end the session though?

Only if the host chooses "Party Over". They can just save if they wish.

Yeah, I think it was Grant that taught me that trick. It's very freeing.

Perhaps it would be helpful to set the timer to go off every five mins, then save.
