Crash stuff on your DS!

EA's Burnout Legends Races to Retail for the Nintendo DS

CHERTSEY, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2005--Get ready to take your  rage on the road ... Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS - News) today announced  that Burnout(TM) Legends has shipped to North American retailers for the  Nintendo DS(TM) portable video game system. Burnout Legends sets the  standard for on-the-go automotive anarchy, combining the series' trademark  speed, destruction and depth with new features, gameplay refinements and  connectivity.

Built from the ground-up for the Nintendo DS, Burnout Legends uses the touch  screen to allow gamers to control their car in spectacular crashes by  employing "aftertouch." The game also features nine gameplay modes,  including crash, road rage, pursuit and white-knuckle multiplayer via Wi-Fi.

Burnout Legends delivers updated versions of the most explosive moments from  Burnout(TM), Burnout(TM) 2: Point of Impact and Burnout(TM) 3: Takedown(TM),  with new gameplay, new cars and new surprises.

The game is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and carries an MSRP of $34.99.

Any word yet, wether this "Wi-Fi" multiplayer is just DS to DS Wi-Fi or Online WiFi?

I'm pretty sure it's local - they just worded it oddly; they meant to say single and multi-cart local play, not online...

Local, from the looks of it. They don't mention "Nintendo Wi-fi Connection" or "online" anywhere.

Who the hell developed this, anyway? Some twenty three cent garden shed team like whoever made the rest of EA's DS filth?
