Title: Need Help - questions about GC & GBA peripherals
Post by: vudu on November 29, 2005, 02:21:31 AM
I just won GamesAreFun.com's Lik-sang 2005 contest.  I rock.

Now I have to pick my prize.  I'm going to get either a USB Memory Adaptor 64M for GameCube or a GBA Movie Player for GBA and Nintendo DS.  Right now I'm leaning towards the GBA Movie Player because GameCube is in the home stretch, so it seems like I'd get more use out of the GBA Movie Player.

Do we know anything more about if the Play-Yan is going to be released in the States?  If so, does is it significantly better than the GBA Movie Player?  Finally, are the Compact Flash cards it uses the same kind that the Revolution is going to use?

Thanks for any and all help.

The Rev uses SD like the Play-Yan does but you can grab a converter that lets you plug an SD card into a CF device.

This community brings the blue sparks.

And I'd go with the GBA Movie Player.

Yeah, but wouldn't there be no point MJR? Doesn't the Revolution save on SD cards which can already be transfered to a computer?

Then he wouldn't have to buy SD cards. But that thing does look a bit iffy.

I should have mentioned before, I have the GBA Movie Player. It works fine, and i would recommend it. It plays a special format, but has software that can convert any file your computer can play to that format.  I'm not sure about the Play-Yan's format though. I'd go with the Movie Player.
