Title: Would this wireless setup work?

I'm not going to use Nintendo's USB adapter because it's too expensive.
What I hope to do is to add another USB adapter to my computer, set it to open/unencrypted (and whitelist it to just the DS) and connect via the existing wireless network i have.

Is that possible?

Why not just put your DS into your existing network?

Because even though Mario Kart DS and Tony Hawk DS have launched here, Nintendo Europe still haven't bothered putting up the website yet.

See for yourself.

I'm not going to rush out and try to go online with it to find that my router is too old or isn't even listed, so i'm researching possible other alternatives in the meantime.
