Title: Pale LOST!

You heard it here first... I finally went down.. =P

Fittingly, it was at the hands of Jonny.  I got blue shelled on the last lap of Yoshi Falls.. a win would have meant at least a tie... ><


Well, it feels good to get that first loss.

You lost cuz of a blue shell, it shouldn't count.  I HATE BLUE SHELLS.

The number of blue shells in this game is absolutely disgusting...I've been hit by more blue shells than red shells... -_-

Blue shells are fine, I just hate RED SHELLS at the moment.

In Mario Kart 64 I'd agree with the anti-blue-shell sentiment, but now they've actually made the item chances part of the character differences by giving karts an Items statistic.  Note that all the karts with a high value in Items have lower stats, on the average, in other areas.  So playing a high-item kart means you're driving a bit less fast, but you get better changes of really good stuff.  Since I tend to play fun over win chances when I can, it means I almost always pick a kart with a maxxed-out item statistic.

So, I'd have to say that Loss Via Blue Shell is a bit more legitimate now.  It still sucks that the only defenses are not being in first place at launch, star or ghost, though being way in the lead is another possible, though difficult, solution.

Yeah... so i just came in last in all 4 racse.......

Mario is a red spark champion.

Shecky has some amazing shortcut on the beach.

I apparently suck at this game.

Dear Rab:  I could have owned you on Rainbow Road, but I didn't feel like blue shelling you on a spiral.  It cost me my wins, stupid freaking tie >=O

Also, how come I manage to get green shells and single mushrooms when I'm in second, and you get two blue shells and a rad one and GGGR BLUE SHELLS

And I actually like Yoshi Falls, what's wrong with it?

(and indeed I have a few tricks on the beach   )

The amount of blue shells in a 2 player match really gets me... I can see 4 players, even 3, but getting tons of blue shells with 2 people?  I've even gotten one while in first place!

All in all fun though... On more than one occation did I yell out, cheer, etc... only to have anyone else in the room wondering what the hell all the fuss is about

Yeah that Delfino Square race was pretty crazy. I felt sorry about killing you Mario and Johnny earlier, so I was all like "I'll let KN get ahead here" and jumped in the water and then loool two blue shells. But I mean you still won on that track. And I beat you by so much on RABicle road you could've blue shelled me in the spiral and I still would've won.

I got hit by a blue shell just once on the spiral in rainbow road.... got hit after having just spun out on my own bannana.  I kept on going though... the booser pad just negated it all... quite odd
