Title: Would work on the DS
Post by: KDR_11k on October 05, 2005, 12:21:52 PM
This game would work on the DS, I think. Well, the graphics are too demanding. And we'd have Ian complaining about "sparkling innovationy games".

How are the graphics too demanding? I mean Trace Memory looks twice that good and it has decent looking characters. I'm not too familiar with technical flim-flam, though, so I could understand if the development worked differently.

No, the lighting looks pretty advanced.

It's more the permanent changes to the ground (adds the stuff to the ground texture), the DS couldn't do that. And there's usually a lot of stuff onscreen at once. Same reason I don't think Crimsonland would work on the DS. The graphics in Ocular Ink could be dumbed down to work but Crimsonland is probably still too much.

Part of that game's appeal is the bright visuals...dumbing it down would be stupid.

I meant that as in "less polygons and replacing smaller objects with sprites".
