You've never heard of this method of writing? It's not reporting, its like a debate. In debates, its the judges who decide who "wins". In this type of thing, its YOU who decides what's right and what's not. If there's not a lot of valid statements, there are still things you can glean from that. Like the fact that there might not BE that many negatives. Writers are assigned stuff like this all the time.
