During THQ's year-end press event, IGNCube spoke with Brian Farrell about THQ's plans for Nintendo's Revolution. The company president had more than a couple positive things to say, including "We are commited to Nintendo's [Revolution]."
While Farrell did say that they were supporting the console, he declined to answer as to whether or not Nintendo had issued the company development kits, followed by another rather nice quote, "We're seeing more from Nintendo now [for Revolution] than we have an any other Nintendo platform."
And so, we can add THQ to the relatively small list of developers who have confirmed support for the Revolution. However, if we are to believe what Farrell has seen, "Nintendo is waking up."

I'd like to see someone list their past mistakes so we can get a possible idea of what to expect.
Remember previous reports that Nintendo actually had a lot of games in the works for Revolution that they weren't ready to show? I wonder if they really do have a lot of surprises planned for us.

I still wouldn't get any false sense of security from it. I know an EA LA artist, and they don't know anything about Revolution yet. It could be because that particular studio simply isn't going to focus on Rev development, or possibly Nintendo is picking favorites.
Being friendly with a select few isn't very helpful in the big picture. A few companies knowing a lot doesn't translate to a vast change in policy. So we'll see what unfolds in the next week.

He's either A) lying to you or B) the higher ups are lying to him...I find it REAAAALLY hard to believe that THQ knows stuff but EA doesn't...

At the time, he did mention a few things about Rev... they very briefly compared specs of the 3 systems on a projection screen during an all-hands meeting (so basically everybody saw it). He said that Rev had less RAM and storage but otherwise looked like the 360 (he didn't have specifics). He's more of an Xbox fan, so those were the specs he paid most attention to. These were just paper stats. And there's no telling if the specs changed since then. They haven't heard anything since.
As far as the controller goes, he doesn't know anything. It could be a need-to-know situation. However, there are no Rev products on their SKU either. As I mentioned it's possible EA LA in particular isn't going to focus on Rev stuff. They do Goldeneye, Command and Conquer, LOTR, Medal of Honor, and something new for 360. If nothing else, these titles probably aren't Revolution-bound yet. At least not soon after launch.
What I thought was also interesting was that there's little PS3 development happening there yet. Which is odd... those games are typical for playstation. Take that as you will.
But anyway, I suspect that IF a lot of companies know about the controller, it's most likely the developer's decision makers and not many actual developers. If the developers knew, it would have leaked by now. Still though, we need to see what the next week brings. I have a hard time assuming a few CEOs and higher-ups knowing a lot of information translates into a more widespread policy. Cautiously optimistic.

Did he say Sony didn't have a controller or did he say that there is little development going on? I dunno stevey it's your call...
