Twenty years old? That guy should be at college instead of chasing princesses and eating mushrooms.
Oh wait. That is college.

Oh. I thought you meant it was the random idiot's birthday . They don't count the arcade versions though, do they? This is the anniversary of the first SMB (best game ever), isn't it?

Mario's first appearance was in Donkey Kong in 1981 so he's turning 24 years old, not 20.
Super Mario Bros the game is turning 20.

I thought Mario was as old as Britney Spears.... I remember reading it in Nintendo power a few years ago.

This really gets me with nostalgia, because I never owned a NES, I owned a famicon. I suppose it wasnt really legal, I dont think NoA imported famicon's into the west, but latinamerica being the second paradise to piracy it was really easy to get one, which of course was lots more cheaper than the official NES. I got the famicon with one of those korean "64 games in 1" cartridge.

Haha - I remember those - they say 64 games in one but they're really 8 games over and over again with different names. They could at least be more creative though; in one of mine there was Super Mario Bros then the same game except it was called Super Luigi Bros. Ah the memories

I have a 64-in-1 cartridge. It has Super Mario, Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Brothers - all the same. It's hard to believe that game is twenty years old. I still remember when I got it for Christmas 13 years ago. Seems like it was just last year. Anyone else remember when they first got theirs?

it was christmas also, back in 1988 I think, damn it was a long time ago. My 64 in 1 cartridge was a nice one though, it didnt have that kind of thing when all games were clones of each other, there were 64 different games, but of course half of them were crap, but the others were awesome. From the top of my head I remember I loved Milk and nuts, Popeye, Bwings, Lode Runner, Mappy, Islander, Clu Clu Land, Baloon Fight, Circus etc etc, and of course Mario. Also a game with two penguins which was a puzzle game, but I cant remember the name. I regret every day of my life that I gave my Family away
