I thought this was a very good editorial. Bonnie deserves a round of applause. ::everyone claps::
To be honest, I haven't really been a fan of her past editorials, but I thought this one not only had a great topic, but the writing was very well done too.
I'd like to see some sort of on-going feature discussing cultures in even more countries. (Possibly some guest editorials from forum regulars, seeing as how PGC doesn't have staff all over the world.)

Nice article. I liked most of her editorials, but it's a refreshing change from the girl gamer editorials she's focused on previously.
France sounds awesome. I may be studying abroad there one year, but I'm not sure yet. There was a French exchange student at my college this past year who played Gamecube, and he was a cool fella. We never played together, which is a pity, but a cool fella nonetheless.

I've been to France. I wish that I could have visited some of those stores. They sound like fun.

I don't think that "guest writer" idea would work. I have no idea what US gaming culture is like and most of us outsiders probably don't so it'd be hard to know what's worth writing about and what isn't. Huge stores like Karstadt, for example, don't seem that popular in the rest of the world (speaking from my location, not the US) with malls composed of many different smaller and specialized stores being preferred there instead. I don't mean supermarkets, these stores are located in the inner city, not the commercial areas on the outer areas of the city or something.
