Title: Where is all this fake Revolution stuff coming from
Post by: nemo_83 on July 08, 2005, 11:00:08 PM
I thought we had seen the thickest of it in NintendoOn, but now I'm cruising boards finding sites and blogs talking about some viral marketing called the Ngame.

something is going on

It seems to me there is suddenly a lot of material on Revolution.

The following links are pictures I found interesting.

a little too complicated

a little too simple?

you may toss that salad Mr. Gates

I have no problem with people making concepts and stuff; I like it, but I don't like it when people try to pass things off as true.

Can you please fix the second link, as well as those other pics you posted in the other thread? Thanks

They all work fine for me...

I think in order to cool down some of the BS spewing from every which way Nintendo should really let out something fairly big.  They don't have to blow their load yet, since I think they're saving that for closer to the 360 launch, but some concrete info on something fairly interesting.  Maybe at least an early mock-up of the controller with part of it not shown or something...or a few games that are more solidly set than..."around launch a Mario game."

Nintendo needs to announce Spaceworld and just say that's where everything shall be let out. But if we remember the whole Xbox 360 thing; most of the mock-ups that we all deemed as 'fake' showed up on the MTV special as 'early prototypes.' I think that one of all these mock-ups is close to the real deal. Microsoft probably released all of the prototypes themselves to gauge the reactions of people in forums and what-not. Nintendo could be doing the same. . .

I don't think Nintendo is gonna come out and say anything just yet, with the "Ngame" going on, it is keeping the internet abuzz with all kinds of speculation and heresay.  Whether its all real or fake doesn't really matter as Nintendo is the big talk right now (at least on some of the bigger forums).

I've heard so much of this (false?)Rev stuff over the last week that I'm starting to piss salt water

I'm glad about all the fake Rev stuff. It means people actually care enough to make up this crap. That's more than I could have said for the cube.

Yeah, I agree with Rancid Planet, it's nothing but good news if people are so hyped up about the Revolution to keep coming up with all this fake stuff.

Yeah, 'cause when Nintendo finally lets the cat out of the back, it'll be all eyes on them.
