Title: Nintendo World Store - Online?
Post by: UncleBob on June 14, 2005, 11:28:17 AM
Does anyone remember the great promise of the Nintendo World Store being online? Bah! Where is it?
www.NintendoWorldStore.com is nothing...
I want to buy crap I don't need, they need to hurry up and get this thing online.

Yeah, if Nintendo bothered to make a good online store, and make a large % of their consumers aware of it, it'd probably be easier to buy component cables, more component cables would've been sold, and we wouldn't have seen that silly decision to remove the Digital Out port on GameCubes.

[ian] You already know where it is, and posting it here doesn't help "correct" Nintendo's decision making this past generation.
Many consumers don't know about it (i'm guessing), not to mention realize they could've gotten component cables there. Sadly, Nintendo's game manuals don't do a great job either; Metroid Prime 2's manual doesn't even direct you to the online store, it tells you to visit Nintendo.com instead. And I'm guessing most people don't look at their manuals either. [/ian]

Well since the Rev apparently uses the same port for everything I assume we won't have to worry about that this time. Unless Nintendo's not even going to support Progressive Scan. They're not very clear on their "no HD" stance. Anyway since that port is now the standard I assume they'll be more inclined to sell cables like that in stores. Plus maybe this time they won't lock third parties out since you could buy third party cables for the "normal" port on the Cube.

Umm... That'd be great if I wanted GCN game cases or AC adapters... But I want all the cool, exclusive Nintendo products that we were promised with the creation of the Nintendo World Store...

Apart from the header and footer, that looks like a geocities page.

Joe is an avid Nintendo fan and owns every console and handheld released by Nintendo. His favorite all-time Nintendo character is Bowser's son, Lud Wig Von Koopa.
This is the kind of inside info you have to go to the source for.

The only thing that would make your avatar better is if it was a transparent gif overlaid on top of the actual image being hotlinked on its owner's page.
